Organisation Notices

PARENT AND TODDLERS will be closed on Thursday, 1st November and will reopen again on Thursday, 8th November at 10:00 am.  Parent and Toddler helpers are reminded to meet in the Manse on Tuesday 30th October from 9:00-12:00 to pack and organise clothes for Project Romania.

Thursday Together: We will be welcoming Jim Lyttle, our Church Visitor, to our meeting today and looking forward to his message to us.  We meet in the Burney Room at 2:30pm.

CHOIR: There will be no Choir Practice on Thursday 1st November.

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides will be off on Thursday 1st November starting back again on Thursday 8th November

CROCHET HUB commences on 1st November for 6 weeks from 7pm to 8:30pm. Cost £10 – proceeds towards Project Romania. All Welcome. Sign up sheet in Mosaic.

FRIDAY CLUB will be having a holiday on 2nd November but will be back again on Friday 9th November. Juniors (Primary school age) meet from 6:30-7:45pm and Seniors (secondary school age) from 7:45-9:00pm. Looking forward to welcoming new members as we start new programmes.

Church Notices

MODERATORS APPEAL – INDONESIA TSUNAMI: On 28th September an earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter Scale occurred off the coast of Central Sulawesi 1.5 million people were affected by the disaster, over 1,400 have been killed. Envelopes will be in the pews this Sunday and next. Please give generously and return envelopes to collection plates within the next fortnight.

BEGIN, BELONG, BECOME

Our next special evening service is on 4th November at 6pm. The theme is ‘Belong’. Our guest speaker is Rev Andrew Thompson who is also chaplain to Ulster Rugby Club. Personal stories on the theme of ‘Belong’ will be by Jonny Mullan and Sue McKinstry. Frank Ferguson will be our soloist and of course our own highly acclaimed Praise Band will take part.

LEAFLET DROP: If anyone has an hour to spare this Thursday 1st November 7:30-8:30pm to deliver invites for Novembers ‘Belong’ service to the surrounding area please meet at the church for 7:15pm.

Pray for a Pew: The second meeting in our series of ‘Begin, Belong, Become’ will be on Sunday 4th November.  The church will once again be open for prayer on Saturday 3rd November between 9:00am-10:00am.  If you can spare 5-10mins or longer over the hour to pray for the people, friends, family who will occupy a pew and that God will soften hearts, touch lives and save souls through the preaching of his word, we would love to see you. Last month’s ‘Pray where you sit’ was very well attended and those who participated found it to be spiritually fulfilling.  To God be the glory.
