Girl Guides – Rainbow
Rainbows is for all girls aged four to seven
Rainbows learn by doing – they get their hands dirty, do sports, arts and crafts and play games. Being a Rainbow is all about having the space to try new things. Through taking part in a range of different activities with girls their own age, Rainbows develop self-confidence and make lots of new friends.
Rainbows learn and grow through a programme of age-appropriate activities, trips and adventures – both in their regular meetings and at special events. They can work towards interest badges, where they can learn about everything from recycling to storytelling, and start their skills builder journey, developing core skills and trying new things like leadership and first aid. There are even awards they can earn, like the Rainbow Gold award and the six Theme awards, that show their commitment and encourage pride in their achievements.
Thursday 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Girl Guides – Brownies
Brownies is for all girls aged seven to ten
Brownies have incredible experiences together, make brilliant friends and discover the world around them. Every time they meet up, groups of Brownies learn new skills and take on challenges as they work out what they want to be and do in the future.
Brownies is about getting together regularly to work on badges, learn new skills, play games, and see friends. It’s about trying adventurous activities and going along to special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps, and holidays. All Brownies are sure to try new things and take on a broad range of challenges as they explore the topics that sit within our six programme themes – Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action and Skills For My Future.
Thursday 6.30pm – 8.00pm
Girl Guides – Guides
Guides is for all girls aged 10 to 14
Guides get out there and do something really different. They create their own campaigns, learn and share new skills and fly down the occasional zip wire. They explore new places – Guides go on camps and trips.
The girls in the group will decide together what to do in their meetings, choosing from the wide range of badges, skills and activities covered by our six programme themes. So whether they want to try a new sport, have a go at performing, run a debate or brush up on their first aid skills – they can. If there’s an issue they really care about, Guides is a chance to make a difference. They will be encouraged to speak out about what matters to them and to do something about it.
Thursday 6.30pm – 8.00pm
