<h2><span style="color: #333399;">Moderator’s Appeal – Pakistan.</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #333399;">The Moderator has launched an appeal for Pakistan. Envelopes are in the pews today.  The Moderator writes:  “In the light of this and out of my conviction that the God we worship in Jesus Christ has a heart of compassion for all people, I am writing to ask your support for a special Moderator’s appeal.  Please give your congregation the opportunity to play their part in reaching out in compassion and solidarity to women, men and children who are in desperate need.” </span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #333399;">LEADERSHIP MEETINGS</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #333399;">All leaders of Church organisations are asked to meet briefly after next Sunday morning service, a new Young Adult Volunteer from the Presbyterian Church USA will be joining us for the year, and we want to make them available as much to organisations as is possible.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;">Sheila, Paul and family wish to say a very heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who called, telephoned, sent cards, attended the funeral or helped with the catering. It meant a great deal to us at such a difficult time, and we know Sam would have been overcome by the kindness and support given by everyone.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;"><strong>Life Groups Get Together.</strong>  A special event is being held for all members of all the Life Groups.  A Barbecue will be held at the manse on Saturday 4th September at 7pm, please put your name on the list in the vestibule if you are able to attend.  If you have never attended a Life Group but are interested why not come along and get to know some of the people involved.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;">Julie starts her PGCE Primary Course in the University of Coleraine next week.  Julie has worked as our office secretary for two years and has done a tremendous job, especially in coping with the many distractions of the Church Office.  We thank her for her patience and faithfulness in coping with the many varieties of the job.  We wish her well at the commencement of her new career.  As a temporary measure, until the church committee has the opportunity to discuss the matter Lydia  will be acting as interim office secretary.</span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #800080;"> F.W.O. Giving</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #333399;">In order to cut down on the amount of paper used and also to save money.  We are offering the opportunity for contributors to transfer to electronic giving.  We have set the target of an additional 25 persons giving by electronic means.  If you would like to know how this is done please speak to either our treasurer Mr  David Mullan or our registrar Mr Sam Raphael.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000080;">With the installation of our new monitors it has been decided no longer to include songs the announcement sheet.  However a small supply of song sheets will be provided on the vestibule table each Sunday.  If it is your preference to sing using hymnbooks and song sheets please remember to collect these as you enter the building each Sunday. This arrangement commences today, please remember if you wish to use this service to collect your song sheets in the way in to church.  Some people report that viewing of a monitor is sometimes affected by reflections, if this is the case try altering your viewing angle by viewing a monitor that is farther away.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000080;"><strong>Christian Aid</strong>  The total contributed to  Christian Aid from the door-to-door collection and from offerings given in Church was £1743.  The Help given by those who collected has been very much appreciated.</span></p>

Hospice Walk £836 was raised.  Your support ensures that the hospice can continue giving adults, children and young people, with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, the care and support they need.</span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000080;"> </span><span style="color: #800080;">Mission Plan</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000080;">As you know, along with all Presbyterian Churches in Ireland, we are working through the development of a mission plan.  This evening we have the concluding service in a series inviting others to inspire and encourage us.  Copies of our mission plan are available on the Vestibule table, please take one.  The plan is not yet finalised and may be subject to change.</span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #800080;"> General Tidy up</span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000080;">Each year in our buildings things get left behind; coats, umbrellas, gloves etc.  Each year Mr Brice does a tidy up of all window sills and coat hooks.  If you suspect you have a missing item please have a look around the cloak rooms and window sills.  The deadline is Tuesday 17th June.  Thanks.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;"><strong>Life Groups</strong> – will meet as arranged, if you are interested in joining a Life Group now is a good opportunity as many run occasional social events during the summer season and it is a good opportunity to meet people.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333399;"><strong>Communicants Class</strong> continues in the Minster’s Room at 7.30pm on Thursday 2nd June</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;">With the installation of our new monitors it has been decided no longer to include  songs the announcement sheet.  However a small supply of song sheets will be provided on the vestibule table each Sunday.  If it is your preference to sing using hymnbooks and song sheets please remember to collect these as you enter the building each Sunday. We will commence this arrangement next Sunday.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #333399;"><strong>Christian Aid</strong> The total contributed to  Christian Aid from the door-to-door collection and from offerings given in Church was £1743.  The Help given by those who collected has been very much appreciated.</span></p>
