108th North Belfast Guide Group
We are a group that consists of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. We are part of the largest female voluntary organisation in the world with approximately 600,000 members in the UK and 10 million members worldwide.
Membership is voluntary and is open to any girl or woman, regardless of faith, race, culture, nationality or any other circumstance, provided she is able to understand and willing to make a promise.

What do Rainbows do?
Rainbows have fun! We take part in games, activities crafts and listen to stories as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop and to think for herself, in a safe girl-only environment.
Who can be a Rainbow?
Any girl aged four to seven years can be a Rainbow.
What do Brownies do?
Brownies enjoy themselves! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best. Our meetings are action packed and full of challenges, games and activities, usually ones that the Brownies have suggested themselves. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure – it’s a world of excitement, new interest and friends.
Who can be a Brownie?
Any girl aged seven to ten years can be a Brownie.

What do Guides do?
Being a Guide is all about learning new skills, making new friends, helping others and enjoying yourself. Each Guide is encouraged to achieve her own personal goals through a progressive programme with the opportunity to work on different badges.
Who can be a Guide?
Any girl aged ten to fourteen years can be a Guide.

Leaders
The leaders who run the sections are unpaid volunteers who have completed Girlguiding UK training. We are usually helped by a team of other young women or adults, such as:
Child Protection
It is the policy of Girlguiding UK to safeguard its members from physical, sexual or emotional harm while participating in guiding activities. Girlguiding UK takes all reasonable steps to ensure that, through relevant procedures and training, children, young people and adults taking part in guiding activities do so in a safe environment.
